Rachel Smith has been at Wolves Foundation for nearly 8 years and has experience in both programme delivery and leadership across a variety of projects which serve the Wolverhampton community. Now, as Health and Wellbeing Manager at the Foundation, Rachel’s role involves coordinating on a number of programmes across all areas of health, such as mental health, childhood obesity, diabetes education, dementia support, food and bed poverty schemes and physical activity programmes. Rachel is personally driven with the focus on continuing to reduce the stigma around mental health and will strive to raise awareness, educate and empower conversation to ensure all have the opportunity to be the best version of themselves.
The session will talk about stress and its’ origins before leading into an activity which aims to allow individuals time to identify stressors and positive coping strategies that may help to reduce this stress. The session will also provide an overview of the Head 4 Health programme, a mental wellbeing programme delivered by the Foundation for all adults aged 18+, with a focus on the increased stigma of men’s mental health.
